Effectively coordinate, manage, lead monitor Actionaid Afghanistan’s field program operation in the fields as well as assist to develop, implement, and monitor new programs in line with Actionaid Afghanistan vision, mission and values.
Specific Responsibilities of the Position:
A. Programmatic focus – micro project action for social justice and poverty eradication
Analyse, understand, update and inform changing context in which ActionAid works in the assigned Programme Support areas
•Develop, design and implement people centred and rights-based programme in the fields, including policy advocacy, work for vulnerability, mitigation, poverty reduction and social justice
•Develop effective partnership relationship between ActionAid and poor and excluded peoples, their community, organisations and movements
•Develop and implement effective programs that planned by the organization in the current year and see future possibility and new initiatives as well.
•Analyse, advise and propose programme strategies in the assigned Programme Support Units to the organization
•Ensure implementation of different funded projects as agreed by the organization in a qualitative and timely manner.
•Preparing and timely submitting statuary reports.
•Proper documentation of the work and updating the records/information and date
•Overall provide support and cooperation to the Program Support Units to implement the programs in close coordination with the Provincial Support Unit (PSU) Team Coordinator/Manager, Project Supervisor and other relevant staff.
B. Understanding Field Level Program Intervention and Ensuring transparency and accountability systems in close coordination with the PSUs
•Ensure that all program and initiatives are taking place in the fields and they are in proper tracks through your regular field visits and getting up to date information.
•Providing timely support wherever required by the PSU in program implementation and new programs designing.
•Promoting ActionAid program operation and implementation approaches through Community Based Participatory Change Plan (CBPCP) and through REFLECT and oversee progress at the community level and ensure with the team operating in the fields.
•Develop, and design of all ActionAid project/program data base. Collect, organize and analyze program related information, prepare required documents and suggest for further improvement
•Assisting to Manager Program Operation and New Initiatives in regards to programs operation and its communication by providing up to date information as required.
C. Ensure gender equity and justice
•Ensure that the principles of gender equity and justice are upheld in all work related to poverty eradication and social justice and within its organisational structures, processes and behaviours.
•Promoting rights approaches, especially women rights.
D. Maintain effective relations, networks and alliances
•Establish and maintain effective relations and communication with the Partner NGOs, Government offices and other officials.
•Develop networks, alliance and coalition as necessary with the relevant people, organisations and social movements, as well as with media, in order to strengthen the fight against poverty and injustice
•Develop effective relationship with international development organisations as well as Local/ National NGOs and civil society organizations
Degree in Social Science or related field.
•Fluency in writing and speaking English and local language Dari/Pashto.
•At least three yeas accumulated skills and experience in Program Operations works.
•Understanding of gender rights based issues and approaches.
•Strong analytical skills.
•Flexible, forward looking, open, willingness to learn new things.
•Demonstrated ability to deliver quality reports within deadline.
•Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
•Being friendly with the colleagues and works best in a team.
•Computer skills.
•Willingness to travel outside the city or sometimes out of the country as and when needed.
