About Afghanistan`s Peace and Reintegration Programme :
UNDP Afghanistan is supporting the Government of Afghanistan to implement the Afghanistan Peace and Reintegration Programme. This programme is supported by the international community and the United Nations to bring long term security and stability to Afghanistan. To implement this programme, a Peace and Reintegration (P&R) Trust Fund will be established to support various reintegration efforts, including training programmes, development activities and technical support.
The receptionest will work at the APRP entrance door.
Duties & Responsibilities:

ï‚§ Handling Telephone Calls
ï‚§ Managing Visitors
1. Telephone Calls
â€¢ Operates and maintains telephone equipment and handles flow of calls effectively.
â€¢ Screen and answer all incoming calls and handle callerâ€™s inquires whenever possible
â€¢ Records all incoming calls in a register book.
â€¢ Establish contact when required with APRP representative at the Main Gate and coordinate activities.
â€¢ Re-direct calls as appropriate and take adequate messages when required and convey them accordingly.
â€¢ Pick up, security check, and deliver the mail to respective staff
â€¢ Effective Communication with public
â€¢ Receiving and handling visitors to APRP Office
â€¢ Screening, and directing calls and mail
â€¢ Registration of all incoming calls and mail
â€¢ Coordination with Compound Security Gate
â€¢ Ensure receptions area is free of anything that could be used as a weapon.
â€¢ Arrange reception desk simply so that strange or foreign objects left will be recognized immediately.
â€¢ Ensure that confidential papers are not exposed on Reception Desk Tops.
â€¢ Maintain a proper visitorsâ€™ register book.
â€¢ Receive, greet, assist, checks ID, and contact the host to escort the visitor.
â€¢ Unregistered visitors should not be allowed admittance.
â€¢ Do not admit unknown and unexpected visitors particularly after work hours or on weekends.
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

â€¢ An understanding of Afghanistan cultural and political environment

â€¢ Fluent in Dari/Pashto is required.
â€¢ Working knowledge of English language is a requirement.
