About OXUS Afghanistan:
OXUS Afghanistan started Operation in 2005 under support of ACTED, a development and relief NGO, which is operating in twenty five Countries of the world, and Microfinance Investment Support Facility for Afghanistan (MISFA). Currently, OXUS Afghanistan has a portfolio of over AFN 816 million with an outreach of about 22,000 customers managed through 19 Branches, 10 provinces. OXUS Afghanistan is a part of OXUS Group, a global network of Microfinance Institutions created by ACTED, a leading international NGO operating in 25 countries. OXUS Afghanistan was created with funding from the Microfinance Investment Support Facility for Afghanistan (MISFA), a Government Apex agency set up by international donors in 2003 in order to develop and support the microfinance sector in Afghanistan. OXUS Afghanistan Provides conventional and Islamic financing. OXUS -Afghanistan has individual and group lending which helps Afghan people have access to finance. OXUS-Afghanistan provides financing for youth and women as women improvement process and support them for better access to finance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
a)Work on the recovery of all the loans late by more than 120 days or as assigned by CFO/Senior Management
b)Take a hand over of all the loans late by more than 365 days and written off loans
c)Put pressure on the clients on the field to collect the late installments.
d)Use all the means at his disposition to recover the money.
e)Visit very regularly late clients, be very strict with them to make them realize that they should better repay the loan
f)Give clear message to the delinquent client on the fact that OXUS will never give up pressurizing him to make him repay the installments.
g)Put a strong Psychological and Social pressure on the delinquent clients to convince them to repay the loans
h)Use all the contact available in the communities with local leaders to recover the money.
i)Pressurize the client and his family to recover the money.
j)Pressurize the guarantor to recover the money
k)If it seems useful, use the police department or the legal department of the area to recover the money.
l)Implement the selling of late clients collaterals or assets in link with Legal officer;
m)Advise other loan officers in term of delinquency management and actions to take against delinquent clients
n)Send weekly collection report to the Head Quarter.
o)The recovery loan officer position is a regional position. He is based in the main office and working on the delinquency of all the branches of the region.
p)The Recovery Loan Officer is working under the supervision of the CFO
a)Minimum High School diploma
b)Minimum two (2) years working experience (prior microfinance experience highly preferable), conducting research, working for a bank, small business or company,
c)Fluent in Dari; English welcome but not essential
d)Computer skills in Word and/or Excel
e)Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
f)Able to work independently and in a group, willing to take initiative, and energetic;
g)Able to learn quickly.
