AKF,A currently manages and implements the largest, multi-sectoral development programme within the network and has built a strong reputation with the Government of Afghanistan, donors and local partners in a number of technical fields. At present, it is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Regional Administration Manager at its Bamyan Office - Afghanistan.
Responsible for day to day administration of the Regional Program Office, assist administration department in all administrative related matters and issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day administration of Regional Program Office operations.
â€¢ Responsible for selection and supervision of the Regional Program Office administrative staff, and coordinating with Departments Heads at the Regional Offices and work flow.
â€¢ Responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and oversight of all office records, ordering and maintenance of office equipment, furniture and supplies.
â€¢ Support and advise Regional Office staffs on administrative policies and procedures.
â€¢ Implement policies and procedures as directed by the Regional Program Manager.
â€¢ Cooperate and coordinate with all departments to ensure integrated, effective procedures, and to ensure smooth working relations.
â€¢ Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and levels of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
â€¢ Establish work schedules and ensure their effective implementation in the Regional Program Office and departments.
â€¢ Assign work to employees and train employees in work procedures and methods.
â€¢ Review employees' work for adequacy and take steps to correct inadequate performance.
â€¢ Manage positions and personnel to make best use of employees.
â€¢ Select employees and develop their capabilities, plan for succession of key personnel and counsel employees effectively; administer discipline; handle employee relations matters in accordance with AKF Personnel Manual Policy and Human Resources policies, guidelines and procedures.
â€¢ Evaluate the knowledge and skill level of the staff to perform assigned duties. Determine whether the employee requires close supervision and training in all or certain areas of their responsibilities or requires only minimal training and guidance. Provide or coordinate training where needed.
â€¢ Ensure that the staff is adhering to the policies and procedures set forth in the Personnel Manual Policy. Consider the amount of work completed or the working speed and the extent to which the work is completed on schedule. Evaluate the ability to perform a competent job, the dependability, acceptance of responsibility, and the initiative of the employee.
â€¢ Responsible for security issues of BRO and update Bamyan staff and national office on security status in region.
â€¢ Encourage employees to meet established standards of job performance and to behave sensibly and safely at work. Help disobedient employees develop their own self-control so that they are not drawn over the line that separates acceptable from unacceptable behavior.
â€¢ Provide a work environment that allows employees to air grievances and criticism, and deal with complaints quickly, justly and harmoniously.
â€¢ Follow up to guide subordinates and let them know that the supervisor is aware of their activities and is there to assist them. Follow through to set a good example and build trust in the supervisor that staff problems will be heard and taken care of.
â€¢ Identify problem; describe the problem; gather the facts; set an objective; determine problem causes; find solutions evaluate solutions and lastly develop an action plan to implement the recommended solutions.

â€¢ Bachelor degree, preferably in administration field.
â€¢ 05 year related work experience.
â€¢ Excellent communication skills (oral, reading and written) in English and Dari.
â€¢ Ability to write logical, clear and concise reports and effectively present information.
â€¢ Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
â€¢ Ability to interpret an extensive variety of data and reports, and the resourcefulness and creativity essential to work with a wide range of program activities
â€¢ Experience in effectively managing staff. The ability to deal with a broad spectrum of people.
â€¢ Outstanding organizational skills. Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
â€¢ Excellent self motivation skill and the ability to exercise sound judgment/decision making.
