PURPOSE:
The Regional Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the effective maintenance of all ASI – EAST Regional Office leased in Afghanistan.
•Supervise facility staff.
•Coordinate all facilities maintenance and repair; perform or contract out necessary repairs as soon as the problem is identified.
•Ensure operational efficiency of all administrative and facility equipment.
•Responsible for the effective operation of all guest-houses and offices.
•Guarantee the smooth functioning and conduct regular maintenance of the generators.
•Ensure availability of public utilities (water and electric supplies) and troubleshoot any issues with provision of utility services.
•Oversee the functionality and effectiveness of heating and cooling systems
•Establish regular facilities maintenance schedule and follow up with it
•Identify all facilities maintenance and repair requirements and coordinate corrective action by facility assistants and/or contract out the necessary repairs on a timely basis.
•Maintain records, reports, supervision and control of fuel delivery and consumption for the generators and heating systems.
•Identify and report to Regional Office Manager and Regional Operations Manager on any issues with buildings or equipment which could lead to structural or mechanical failure
•Ensure all office and guesthouse logistics needs are met by the logistics staff
•Prepare monthly estimates of supply requirements (cleaning, fuel, spare parts)
•Maintain stock of cleaning and facility management supplies and keep coordination and control of their use and distribution.
•Ensure the smooth functioning and regular maintenance of generators, boilers, A/C units and other equipment.
•Manage room assignments for short-term staff at the guesthouse; assign and maintain records of office assignments.
•Ensure the removal of all trash and prevent the accumulation of unused equipment/furniture, packing materials and other items which might jeopardize security.
•Ensure logistical support for EI security personnel.
•Other tasks as assigned by Regional Office Manager and Regional Operations Manager
EDUCATION
•High School degree in relevant field required or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
•Minimum of 4 years experience in relevant positions. Experience working in a similar position for an NGO or an international organization is preferred. USAID funded project experience is a plus. Must have willingness to travel to DAI Afghanistan regional and district offices / Guest house on DAI business. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment is a must. In addition, must be flexible, willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and work irregular hours.

REPORTING:
•Reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager and/or his designee (Regional Office Manager).
