A regional manager’s primary task is to take responsibility, administration and watch over a number of journalist teams within the Logar and Wardak region to ensure that every employee under his wing will get the right job distribution. The regional manager is also responsible for the overall supervision of the BMC staff as well as the improvement of the employee by attending to the needs of the customers and make sure that they are satisfied.
•Supervise personnel assigned to the region and manage organizational issues within the project manager operations.
•Takes charge of the writers, analyst and several teams of journalist.
•Handle public relations and client relationships.
•Constantly build and improve radio programs and look for more ways to improve further its promotion of different programs for the community
•Motivate the region related staff to push harder and excel in their professions.
•Set up targets and make sure that deadlines are always met by the journalist, writer and analyst.
•Take responsibility in ensuring that only the best people are being selected to work for the BMC the company serves and that all recruiting standards and methods are perfectly met.
•Play an important role in marketing of radio to bring in more community closer to the radio station for further improvement of radio programs and production.
•Deliver reports, programs, and frequent meetings with good level of competence.
•Collaborate with the project manager, writer, journalist and analysts to maximize communication efficiency within the company and BMC.
•Work with project managers, monitoring team and management analysts in dealing with technical aspects of the region.
•Handle the team in various planning and execution of the operations.
•Analyze problems and methodical approaches to maximize the efficiency of the operations.
•Take responsible steps to ensure that radio announcers working in the region have access to information as to what their powers and obligations are.
•Take necessary actions for violations and inconsistencies done by the team members under supervision.
•University degree
• Media background and Media knowledge of Afghanistan
•Had Media finance and management related trainings
•At least 3 years experience in media managing projects
•Demonstrated ability to work in conflict areas
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively with many different organization such as military, media, national and International NGOs
•Proven ability to work with community with impartiality attitude
•Strong organizational and inter personal skills
•Fluent in English languages
•Ability to handle multiple tasks, proven self-initiative and problem solving abilities
•Ability to travel and stay within Logar and Wardak Province
•Ability to work as part of a team
