Job Summary

The Reporter will work under the Direction of Media Watch Director and will prepare weekly report , annual report , arranging of press conference , preparing of radio report and updating of the violation Map.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct interviews and prepare stories for Media Watch report

Build a wide network of contacts

Follow-up on all story tips

Attend press conferences

Proof read text of Media Watch reports liaise with editors

Produce weekly Media Watch radio program of 15-20 minutes

Liaise with Salam Watandar on-air manager for broadcast of Media Watch radio program

Translate text of interviews in English into Pashto or Dari

Distribute Media Watch reports to Media Watch mailing lists

Update Media Watch mailing list regularly

Attend all Media Watch meetings

Preparing of annual report.

Updating of Violation Map in website.

Be responsible for assigned equipment (mini disc, computer, microphone and mobile set).

Perform other tasks as assigned by Media Watch Director.

Maintain Media Watch archive

Reporter must be willing to work during unofficial hours when requested by Media Director

Job Requirements

Must have Bachelor Degree in Journalism Field.
Minimum five years’ in the field of reporting
Good communication skills
Good presentation skills
