Women for Afghan Women (WAW) is a grassroots civil society organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and New York. In particular, WAW works to help Afghan women and girls exercise their rights to pursue their individual potential to self-determination, and to representation in all areas of life—political, social, cultural, and economic. WAW relentlessly advocates for women’s rights and challenges the norms that underpin gender-based violence to influence attitudes and bring about change.

Job Summary

She is required to follow this job description and complete her works in the respect of the WAW rules and regulations

Duties & Responsibilities

ð The reporting/field monitor will closely work with  DoRRs to build relationship with Government officials, UNHCR and other agencies in order to support as per his/her role in the provision of proper and timely protection interventions in respect of IDPs and refugee returnees;

ð Do the data entry for IDPs;

ð Help the DoRRs on any other data entry task/reporting;

ð Assist with the monitoring and other field implementation activities (assessment, beneficiary selection and monitoring);

ð The reporting/field monitor will participate in the joint IDP assessment and monitoring of displaced persons, returnees and others of concern;

ð Participate in the assessment of PSN cases, payments for identified PSN and subsequent monitoring;

ð Support DoRR in the close follow up the petitions of IDP/ Returnee women and girls lodged at DoRR and support  their access to humanitarian assistance;

ð Identify and refer according to proper guidance cases  of female beneficiaries facing problems related to HLP, SGBV, PSN while ensuring confidentiality and respect for core humanitarian principles, including the principle of do no harm;

ð In consultation of Head of DoRR, attend the Gender meetings and other related activities;

ð Advocate on the needs of women in the AoR and promote their inclusion in community mobilization activities implemented by UNHCR; 


Job Requirements

  •    I.       Bachelor degree or High School completed
  •     II.       Higher level education ( Advantage)
  •   III.        Capacity to travel visit different areas of the Province with different teams
  •   IV.       Computer  proficiency  with  high  level  of familiarity  with Office program packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc (Advantage)
  •    V.       Good oral presentation and writing skills
  •   VI.       Experience working with related areas (Advantage) 



  •     I.       Capacity to travel visit different areas of the Province with different teams
