Job Summary:


The Market Analytics team is responsible for executing pricing, market intelligence and research exercises to improve Roshan’s competitive position in the marketplace. As part of the Market Analytics team this position will have the following responsibilities and objectives as Research Analyst:

Duties & Responsibilities:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor and develop ongoing research efforts with external partners
2. Monitor and develop internal research efforts

OBJECTIVES

External Research Efforts (30%):
- Partner with external research partners conducting long term and periodic research to develop an understanding of Roshan’s subscriber base
- Responsible for quantitative / qualitative research studies
 Provide agency brief
 Provide critical analysis and support for external research of both methodology (including questionnaires) and results
 Assist external research partners by acting as a moderator / guide and attending focus groups as needed
- Develop relationships and gather resources from external sources to improve Roshan’s research efforts

Internal Research Efforts (60%):
- Carry out analysis of customer behavior and provide suggestions to marketing team on how Roshan can improve its product portfolio and/or better serve its customers
- Reconcile external research with internal data to extend utility of existing research reports
- Partner with products, international and loyalty teams to develop and test rule based marketing strategies
- Consolidate and synthesize research and analysis from all of Roshan’s departments
 The research analyst will be expected to act as a reference for the marketing department on existing reports and data
- Aggregate research on markets outside Afghanistan to help inform Roshan’s product and marketing teams vet the suitability of current / future products and promotions

Other (10%):
- Other analytical / administrative tasks as required

Job Requirement:


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma
• Quantitative aptitude
• Interest in research questions
• Telecom experience preferred

Skills/Abilities
• Excellent written and spoken English, Dari, Pashto
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Some experience with SQL or data mining preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
