Job Summary

RF Planning and Optimization

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Global Drive test, troubleshooting for simple problems and give proper solution for that.
2. Site integration for new site which are coming on air
3. Technical site survey and planning
4. Nominal Planning for new RF sites
5. Network Design and Re-design depending on the traffic pattern
6. Assist in Planning of the major cities in Afghanistan for the new projects.
7. Make sure the concerned regional KPI are managed to keep within the target value
8. Need and adjust the parameters of the air and A interface to improve the KPI of the network
9. New site planning, interference checking, verifying LAC/BSIC/HSN and frequency plan
10. Assist to set the KPI target on quarterly and monthly basis
11. Co-ordinate with counterparts and other departments to ensure QoS and proper KPI
Creating traffic Maps
12. Escalating them according to Marketing Outputs
Network Design and Capacity
13. Network Optimization and Performance
14. Network Audit and Benchmarking
15. Traffic dimensioning

Job Requirements

Requires Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline

Professional Experience:

A minimum of 3 years experience within a similar RF Planning role – preferably on 2.5 G network


Other:

Strong RF Planning experience – proven track record within a similar role
Extensive knowledge of defining 2G RF parameters such as:
Antenna types, tilt, and heights, power budgets, up-link/down-link path balance, ERP.
Knowledge of RF test equipment such as TEMS and Actix, data collection methodology, and data analysis
Experience of radio planning tools
Good understanding and grasp of English language, both spoken and written.
Very good in Microsoft office
