Job Summary:

Overall implementation of security guards related activities in the province - under the overall supervision of the Admin/ HR officer and security Focal Point.
Save the Children Afghanistan Program works for realization of Children's Rights and protection of their well-being together and civil societies from rights based perspective worldwide and Particularly in Afghanistan. We are mandated to bringing the lasting positive changes in the lives of all children worldwide.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To ensure that all SC Staff and property remains safe and secure.
• To regularly check and control all incoming and outgoing movements of people, vehicles and property.
• To meet all incoming visitors, contact the concerned section, register them and issue them the SC visitor card.
• To collect the applications, CV’s, other documents from people and organizations and inform the Administration.
• To inform the Line Manager or other Senior Staff members about any suspected person, things seen in or around the premises and office building.
• To establish immediate contact with relevant authorities in case of theft, fire and other accidents and emergencies.
• To open and close the office main gate and properly search the vehicles during IN/OUT.
• To fuel, check engine oil, water gauge, and turn on and off the office generator as per schedule and inform the Office Maintenance Supervisor in case of any abnormality.
• To assure that the yard and the area outside the office is checked daily.
• To register all Incoming/Outgoing staff and visitors regularly.
• To report Security Status of the Office to Administrator or Security Focal Point of Organization every night at the beginning of each hour from 9:00 Pm to 6:00 Am regularly.
• To assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment as per instruction.
• To cooperate with all Staff in a friendly manner.
• To assist the office cleaner in washing of office yard as required.
• To check the office sections and rooms properly and ensure that all doors are locked and electrical appliances are not engaged in electricity when staff left the office.
• To assist the cleaners and cook in absence of one of them as per Instructions and when needed.
• To assist the GH Security Guards in case if they are on leave or absent as per administration instruction.
• To carry out additional tasks decided by the Line Manager within the limits of the character of the post.

Job Requirement:

o 12th class graduated.
o Certificates and working experience in related security guard field
o 1-3 years work experience in similar position in National or International Organization
o In depth knowledge of book-keeping, and reporting
o Experience of working knowledge and training in security guard related issues is preferred
