Job Summary:

The Senior Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting Specialist for AMELA will be based in Kabul, Afghanistan full-time during the five-year performance period. He/she will be responsible for learning and adaptive management services including analyses to support learning processes, organizational and logistical support for learning and dissemination events, knowledge products, and M&E training and technical guidance materials

Duties & Responsibilities:

● Analyze, facilitate, and strengthen collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) for the USAID/Afghanistan
● Report to and collaborate with the AMELA Chief of Party regarding CLA activities
● Work in concert with the AMELA Senior Monitoring Specialist, Senior Evaluation Specialist, and Deputy
Chief of Party
● Assist in the recruitment of qualified local CLA specialists
● Lead, manage, and mentor CLA team

Job Requirement:

● At least 10 years of experience in organizational learning and adaptive management or related field
● Prior experience as a Senior Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting Specialist, Organizational Learning and
Knowledge Management Advisor, or similar role
● Applied experience with USAID policy related to collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA)
● Familiarity with USAID program areas including monitoring, evaluation, agriculture, democracy and
governance, economic growth, education, health, infrastructure, and humanitarian assistance
● Experience convening stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and evidence-based change
● Previous experience working on donor-funded programs in Afghanistan or other conflict environments
● Graduate degree in organizational learning, international development, social science, education,
organizational development, business administration or a related field
● Fluency in English
