Under supervision of a ICT Director, installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades computer hardware, software, personal computer networks, peripheral equipment and electronic mail systems; assesses user training needs and trains users in effective use of applications; makes recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions; prepares documentation and provides user assistance; and performs related work as required.
Respond and Support End Users IT Problems.
Installing, upgrading, repairing, replacing user workstations (hardware and software)
Analyze, find and solve any problem related to Network Equipment’s: Cables, Access Switches, Access Points, Face Plate and all related equipment’s.
Doing all activities related to Network Extension
preparing and procuring the IT equipment’s of Ministry Directorates.
Resolving issues of Ministry Directorates.
Good knowledge of TCP/IP
Good Knowledge of MCSE (Be Familiar with Microsoft Servers platform)
Assist with inventorying and disposition of old computer equipment.
Excellent Knowledge of Client based Applications (MS Office Package (Word, Assist users in access database accessibility
Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; pulls cables and rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration.
Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required.
Installation, Repairing Photo copy machines, printers, scanners is a MUST
Related tasks assigned by Director.
Managing the MOE ICT Hardware team
he candidate must Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, information technology, electronics or any other related fields. with 5 years of work experience of general computer installation, maintenance and repair experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above. The candidate must have MCSE
Familiarity with open source software would an advantage
Prior experience working with government systems would be an advantage;
Experience in managing and developing client relationships;
Excellent written and spoken Dari, Pashtu and English languages;
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of ICT
Computer hardware, software and peripherals such as central processing units, servers, monitors, cables, network systems, printers, plotters and modems.
Procedures for installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting and repairing applicable software, hardware and peripherals.
Techniques for explaining technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users.
Skill in ICT
Installing, configuring and upgrading operating systems and software, using primarily standard financial, business and administrative application practices.
Installing, configuring, assembling and repairing computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers and related hardware.
Troubleshooting and solving hardware and software problems.
Instructing users on new or upgraded computer applications and hardware.
Using initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines and procedures.
Organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical time deadlines; and Communicating effectively with co-workers, subordinates, superiors, the general public, representatives of public and private organizations and others sufficient to exchange or convey information.
