The Senior Logistics Clerk under the direct supervision of the Area Manager in AMAC is responsible for the following tasks:
• Receives, register and process the Store Requisitions using the FASS data base. Assist with the preparation of documents to justify requirements for Store Requisitions.
• Using FASS prepares the Issue Vouchers and Return Vouchers for the equipment (expendable and non-expendable items) requested by the MACCA HQ Sections and by AMACs. Receives and issue the equipment to the concern parties. As required liaise with the WH, Transport Unit, Local Transport Company and AMACs for the distribution and delivery of equipment.
• Maintain MACCA stores inventories electronically and in hard copy on a daily basis, using FASS data base. Prepares and submit to the Logistics Assistant, discrepancy report on the inventories, in a timely manner.
• Monitors and receives on quarterly basis the soft and hard copies of the inventories from AMACs and updates the FASS stores accordingly.
• Prepares and provides to the Logistics Assistant, information and reports regarding inventory at any given notice.
• Assist with the stock take and maintaining inventory of MACCA HQ and AMACs offices. Monitor inter-regional stores movements
• Conduct monthly monitoring and verification (stock checks) of inventories for expendable and non-expendable and provide update reports to Logistics Assistant as required.
• Maintain a Stationery and Expendables Store with up to date records
• Processes the Loss and Damage reports and participates to the execution of the approved decision regarding the Lost or Damaged equipment.
• Coordinate as required with the Local Contractors and or MACCA Sections for the repairing of the damaged equipment
• Prepares request for quarterly stationery replenishment.
• Assist with consolidation of information for regional and HQ procurement budgets
• Record and maintain filling system with the hard copy of all documents in accordance with the above. Ensure that correct documents are received back from HQ and AMACs
• Attend logistics and operations meetings if requested
• Perform any other tasks related to the field of work as required.
• Secondary diploma or equivalent certificate.
• 2-3 years experience in data processing and Logistics. Knowledge of basic methods and principles of Logistics.
• Fluent in English, Pashto/Dari (written and oral).
• Thorough knowledge of computers including Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes, Outlook and Access. Experience and knowledge of FASS is an asset.
• Good typing skills.
• Experience with a Demining NGO an asset.
• Teamwork, reliable and able to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to regional areas as required.
• This position offers the opportunity to expand on current Logistic experience in a variety of areas where training and cross training will be an integral part of duties. A strong willingness to learn will be key to selection of the right candidates.
