About DAI:

Founded:  

DAI is implementing the USAID funded Musharikat project across Afghanistan, working in all 34 provinces with the goal of increasing the equality and empowerment of women throughout the country. Musharikat will provide opportunities for women’s rights activists and groups to jointly identify and carry-out discreet advocacy and public awareness campaigns designed to influence local, provincial and national public policies banning harmful social practices, advance women’s welfare and opportunities by specifically building a constituency supportive of women’s rights.

The M&E STTA is required to provide strategic M&E support in the last 6 months of the project to boost the project’s M&E and learning capabilities. This is position will enhance the current M&E capabilities of the team and will ensure that M&E Systems are updated to meet targets.


Job Summary:

  • Assists M&E Director in monitoring and evaluation of the project activities and grants documents review.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists M&E Director in monitoring and evaluation of the project activities and grants documents review.
  • Provides inputs to M&E Director on best practices for evaluation project activities and grants
  • Coordinates M&E team trackers with the field M&E coordinators including project activity calendar and event tracking sheet
  • Works with the technical teams and grants to collect project deliverables based on the project implementation plan

·       Working with the Regional Directors to collect and report regional data and results

·       Monitor the progress of all project indicators based on the project AMELP and ensure indicators target achieved and required deliverables collected timely.

·       Work with project/technical and field staff to ensure M&E procedures/ instruments are understood and are properly implemented

·       Manage surveys including data collection, data analysis, and report drafting

·       Ability to travel to the provinces

·       Other duties as specified by supervisor.

Job Requirement:

Qualifications

·       Bachelor degree plus Five years of M&E experience monitoring particularly with USAID project in Afghanistan

·       Previous experience conducting surveys, and capturing and disseminating lessons learned preferred

·       Ability to work independently and accomplish assignments with minimal supervision

·       Fluent in Dari/and or Pashto with good speaking skills English
