Job Summary:
Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
The mission is to lead the MTNA network operations team in its operation and maintenance of the network nationally in order to meet the goals and objectives of the division. To ensure MTN’s quality and service commitment to subscribers
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Tasks:
· Develop the strategy for the operations and maintenance function in the MTNA in line with global best practice in order to ensure that the organization is viable both internally and externally and as a social and financial entity
· Provide leadership and management with the visibility; control and decision support required to understand and manage operations and maintenance; as well as provide the team with the expertise to build the teams capabilities in order to drive effectiveness and efficiencies within the team
· Prepare the annual operations and maintenance work plan and ensure the effective execution thereof in order to ensure the business objectives are achieved
· Establish operation and maintenance functions’ alignment with MTNA objectives in order to effectively drive the overall business and group objectives
· Establish and monitor performance benchmarks for the operation and maintenance team in order to ensure ongoing effectiveness of the division
· Prepare; monitor and control the annual departmental budget to ensure expenditure is in line with the business plan
· Establish and maintain relationships with strategic 3rd party suppliers
· Ensure that the architecture is relevant to the needs of the company, is accepted, implemented and adhered to throughout the company
· Ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures of MTN
· Ensure the MTN network is operated and maintained to company and market requirements
· Oversee prompt management of major faults and ensure continuous monitoring of operations and performance of the network
· Ensure weekly reports on overall performance of the network are available
· Make contributions on network performance monthly report
· Manage various suppliers and negotiating contract with suppliers to get the best terms for network operations division
· Interface with International Organisations, such as Vendors (Ericsson, Huwaei, etc.) and other International Operators, to ensure Iran cell stays ahead with new technologies, Products and Services.
· To manage the Operational aspects of the interface with the Transmission supplier(s)
· Spare Parts Management
· Daily Follow up on NW Availability and Performance KPI’s
· Follow up scope of Corrective action plans
· Managed Services Alignment to Scope and Accountability
· Audit Preventive Maintenance
Job Requirement:
Minimum Requirements
Education:
B.E or M.E in Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering
Experience:
8 - 10 years experience of which 3 years in a Management of Telecom Network at a Senior level
Training:
