Job Summary

Work with HASEL M and E team in designing a monitoring and reporting system to help inform USAID and senior project managers of project status and progress toward achievement of key results as agreed in the annual work plans. Specialist will assist in the development of relevant milestones and indicators for substantive accomplishments in each of the project's main task area and formulate operational plans to monitor milestones and report on indicators.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for establishing, developing, and monitoring PMP indicators and outputs. Responsible for M and E reporting to USAID and senior technical team members; prepare and deliver timely reports to management team and USAID. Ensure that appropriate data collection procedures are developed for realistic, accurate tracking of performance indicators, and establish practical and effective analysis tools for presenting M and E findings.

Job Requirements

At least 10 years of professional experience in the design and operation of monitoring and evaluation systems;
Demonstrated the ability to apply analytical methods practically in the complex setting of the day-to-day lives of project beneficiaries;
Afghanistan or regional experience preferred;
Demonstrated experience working with senior level host-country counterparts;
Degree in economics, statistics, or related discipline;
Prior experience working on USAID or other donor funded programs preferred;
Strong English language skills required.
