Media Operations Centers, Multi Location
The printing Technician will work under the Media Operations Center (MOC) who inspects and examines printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
Ensuring the timely provision of technical supports and services to enable the smooth operation of Printing studios, classrooms, workshops, and other facilities as assigned.
Working in conjunction with Academic and other staff to plan and provide the necessary materials, equipment and technical assistance required by staff, students and clients of the host university.
Provide and facilitate the training programs on the usage of Printing studio equipment.
Handling printers, printing machines, software and computers in Printing studios to produce, design, edit and print paper-work products.
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Ensuring operation of printing equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Starting and operating printing machines.
Designing paper related products, such as posters, newspapers, magazines, etc.
Repairing, cleaning, maintaining, or adjusting equipment.
Following manufacturer's instructions
Inspecting and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
Examining job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences.
Obtaining approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
Any other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Bachelor Degree preferred
Minimum two years professional experience
Very strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)
Good written communication skills in English
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to provide training
High level proficiency in MS Office applications
High level proficiency in Adobe applications (InDesign, Photoshop, CorelDraw and etc.)
