Job Summary:
PURPOSE:
The Senior Regional Manager will help to tailor program activities to each region and help ensure adequate stakeholder consultations, outreach to the community, partners, and beneficiaries. S/he will oversee a regional team to ensure quality control and will help build the capacity of local stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
OBJECTIVE AND DUTIES:
Undertakes proactive community outreach and relations building, identifies opportunities for advancing the objectives of WIE
Manages regional activity portfolios in order to achieve program target
Collaborates with Kabul based Component Teams on the design/implementation of activities in regions
Liaises with regional stakeholders, including local businesses, universities, and MOWA, to ensure stakeholder consultations and tailor support for local businesses,
Assess viability of businesses, including its management’s experience and skills, to identify training and technical assistance needs
Ensures in-depth reporting on regional issues and solutions in collaboration with the private sector development and workforce development teams
Ensures adherence to program administrative procedures and guidelines, exercises quality control of service delivery, and manages program staff for productivity and performance at regional level
Continuously assesses program progress, identifies implementation issues, and improves program activities, including sourcing support from the Kabul main office.
Job Requirement:
Master degree with 5 years or Bachelor with 10 years of experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate support of women in the workplace and in leadership positions, be proactive and excellent communicators.
Seven to ten years of experience in business development services, technical vocational education and training, and/or economic growth
Knowledge of education institutions and BDS/TVET service providers in the region
Familiar with promising growth sectors in the region
Experience with gender issues and programming options in region
Prior experience on a donor program
Proven interpersonal, supervisory, and management skills
