Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the FSSP Project Director, the Senior Quality Control editor is responsible for reviewing and ensuring the delivery of quality deliverables submitted by the Technical Specialists.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Undertaking quality control of technical reports and other deliverables produced by the Technical

Specialists, including but not limited to presentation aspects and technical content;

Participating in development of the terms of reference for the Technical Specialists and in the evaluation of candidates during the procurement stage;

Ensuring the Technical Specialists’ terms of reference are respected, including but not limited to compliance with the deliverable deadlines;

Keeping abreast of the international development scene and ensuring that the technical input is appropriate and aligned with the actual Afghan context;

Ensuring consistent integration of the program`s key cross-cutting themes in all reports and other deliverables produced by the Technical Specialists, including gender equality and environment;

Ensuring the validity and reliability of data sources used by the Technical Specialists in producing the deliverables;

Recommending the deliverables to be submitted to DFATD by the Project Manager;

Providing other related services, as required.

The Quality Control Officer`s position only needs limited presence in-country. Therefore, this role could potentially be undertaken remotely.

Job Requirement:

A Masters in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration is highly preferred. A bachelor degree in similar area is acceptable

More the three years of work experiences in simular areas,

Experience with international organizations,

Excellent written ability in Dari, Pashto and English

Well-versed in computer programs especially MS office packages

Previous work experience in editing and proof-reading in Dari, Pashto and English
