Job Description for Sewer Treatment Plant Operator
Overall responsibilities is to undertake and monitor maintenance works associated with NG facilities, generators, plumbing, electricity, appliances, supply of fuel to generators, tracking proper sewer treatment plant log books, maintain the plant, this include weekly, monthly activities reports to the immediate supervisor.
• Undertake all NG properties proper maintenances and to ensure all immediate action on fixing normal wears and tears all mechanical and electrical component.
• Wear protective clothing. Utilize safe work practices. Report unsafe conditions using NG reporting system.
• Carry out inspections and investigations, risk assessments and report as required.
• Daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly check of all, mechanical and , electrical appliances.
• Training all night and/day duty workers on how to operate, maintain, the plant.
• Timely inspection of all properties fire extinguishers and refreshing the expired cylinders
Examples of Duties:
• Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
• Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system.
• Skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) years of progressively responsible journey level electrical experience; OR, Completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance and two (2) years electrical experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Requires a current Arizona driver's license upon employment.
• Assist other team members within the work group to achieve maintenance and/or other directive related to the
position and to take proper care of work tools and equipments.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality assurance and cost effectiveness for all works undertaken and to observe polices procedures and occupational health and safety regulations of work place.
• perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or maintenance officer
