Rixon needs qualified staff for an anticipated project from UNAMA project titled “OPERATION & MAINTENANCE OF ENGINEERING SERVICES AND MINOR WORKS AT UNAMA PREMISES IN AFGHANISTAN. Rixon will contact qualified applicants and make it clear to them and upon award of the project Rixon is obliged to hire the applicants with his/her resume submitted in the bidding documents.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the supervisor has to be in the Facility or buildings during normal working hours and should supervise, monitor and control the working of other labors in the site including plumber, electrician, painter, carpenter and coordinate activities with the client and main office.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform intermediate-level maintenance (changing sockets, bulbs, small carpentry works, and remove/replace small plumbing equipment, daily inspection of the building if something needs to be repaired or fixed. Supervising other cleaners work and reporting to Facilities Manager for any kind of damages, lost, repairing and cleaners work.

Supervise the work of plumber, electrician, carpenter, painter and other construction activities

Coordinate with client and respond immediately to the requests

Switch off / on the water pump on daily basis to full the water tank.

Continuously inspect and monitor the on-going work and planned work

Looking for generators, AC’s maintenances and proper reporting to main office.

Supervising the other cleaners work on regular basis.

Looking for small carpentry services and trying to resolve it by him.

Tracking the logbook for the generators in offices and buildings.

Changing of small electric items such Fuse, Bulbs, Sockets, Holders and any other electric related items.

Able to resolve the small plumbing works such as: Changing Boiler pipes, Boiler rod, water tabs and any plumbing related issues.

Make sure that all the working areas are clean and the cleaners have done their work properly.

Must be able to provide effective reports

Job Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

Good communication and coordination skills;

Have knowledge about the generators, electric & plumbing and other construction activities works and able to resolve the problems;

Work long hours while maintaining positive attitude;

Must be willing to work during holidays if required;

Must be able to work under pressure;

Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge of changing generators, tracking the logbooks, aware of generator spare parts Knowledge of plumbing and electric works.

Education Requirements: At least Baccalaureate and University degree in engineering will be given preference

National and English Language skills both verbal and written

Years of Experience: 5 years’ work experience in related designation

Skills: General construction skills and coordination plus supervision
