Job Summary

The general function of the position is to implement the activities of the Linking Relief to Rehabilitation and Development (LRRD) Project as indicated in the work plan at the field level, engages in mobilizing the communities, identifying beneficiaries, conducting trainings and coordinating with partner NGO and other INGOs/NGOs working in the project coverage and provide regular support to the partner organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

•To effectively mobilize communities and ensure awareness building as per the project goals and objectives
•Under the supervision of the LRRD Project Officer, to plan and organize all activities required for the project (Identification, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) for her/his areas of assignment
•To organize and manage regular meetings with the community in the project area with regard to different issues of the areas
To implement and support and assigned activities (community organization, training and workshops, distributions, monitoring and other assistance)
•Maintain all documents related to the areas in standard filing system
•Prepare regular reports and submit to the Project Officer
•To ensure active women participation in all aspects of project implementation as per Actionaid approaches
•To establish and maintain good relationships with the communities, and local authorities
•To assist with other project staff as and whenever required
•To carry out social audits in the community and ensure transparency and accountability in program implementation
•To build the capacities of community members on different issues related to the project goals and objectives
•Any other related duties assign by the line manager

Job Requirements

•High School Graduate (12 Grade)
•At least two years experiences with International and national organizations in implementations of programs
•Ample background in community mobilization
•Knowledge of Ms. Office Programs
•Excellent written and verbal communication and relational skills, , especially in a cross – cultural environment
•Problem solving skills
•Good interpersonal skill
•Gender sensitive
•Be able to work independently as well as in a team
•Willingness to travel frequently as per requirements of the project
