Job Summary:

The Soft Skills Trainer will be stationed at USWDP Career Center of one of the USWDP target universities. S/he will communicate with university officials to attract students to the career center and arrange trainings schedules as requested for students’ career development and deliver the trainings (e.g. Soft Skills, Life Skills, etc.). The trainer will work under the supervision of Head of Career Center to provide students with relevant career development trainings. S/he will be responsible to be in direct contact with private/public sector employers to avail internship opportunities for the trained senior student or fresh graduates and follow-up the internship placements with the internees and the employers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Advertise and expose the trainings provided by USWDP in the USWDP target universities;
 Make sure students and fresh graduates of the target universities are informed about the trainings and services provided in career centers and that students registered themselves for the USWDP assisted trainings;
 In close coordination with university officials, Senior Career Center Officers, and Head of Career Center, interview the registered students to select them for the relevant trainings at USWDP Career Centers;
 Manage the routine implementation of the scheduled trainings in the target universities;
 Develop a detailed training plan (weekly, monthly and quarterly) including training monitoring component;
 Make sure that s/he is fully prepared and the training materials and training facilities are available and fully equipped prior to the trainings;
 Manage training schedules, pre-and post-training forms, course evaluation and certificates;
 Control the quality of training sessions and forms used in the career centers;
 Work closely with Senior Career Center Officers and Head of Career Center and make sure quality trainings are developed and delivered and areas of improvement are suggested;
 Report on training activities on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis;
 Assist in organizing surveys, interviews, group discussions and other technical and promotional events on training and placement efforts as and when advised by the supervisor;
 In collaboration with Senior Placement Officer, Placement Officers and the Head of Career Center, do some necessary follow up with employers in public and private sectors to facilitate internship opportunities for trained senior students and fresh graduates of the University;
 Work under the supervision of Head of Career Center and provide essential career development trainings to USWDP target students at USWDP career centers;
 Make sure all the relevant files including: Training documents, all sorts of training forms, interview sheets, Training evaluation reports, monitoring reports, students’ suggestions/recommendations, all sorts of training materials and any other training related tools and materials are appropriately maintained at the Career Center;
 Any other task assigned by his/her supervisor.

Job Requirement:

 Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management, Education or any other relevant field;
 Four years’ relevant experience at the national or international level;
 The incumbent should have a strong background in education and trainings.
 At least three years of experience in designing and delivering trainings – experience with higher education programs is an advantage.
 S/he have good knowledge of training demand in public/private sector companies.
 The incumbent is expected to have up to date knowledge of training methodologies and should be able to execute them in the class.
 Excellent written and communication skills in Dari and Pashto.
 Proficiency in English language will be an advantage;
 Able to use MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
 Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation in handling all assigned tasks.
