Summary of Position Responsibilities:
ACSI’s National Training Director will supervise National Training Directorate at the ACSI’s and will build a functioning national training directorate at ACSI in order to achieve the five common functions capacity building objectives.
Primary Activities of Position:
• Plan, organize, and direct national level training activities under five common functions program of ACSI.
• Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, workshops and coaching programs.
• Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected processes, changes, and other factors.
• Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
• Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
• Review and evaluate training programs for compliance with ACSI’s standards.
• Coordinate established training/coaching courses and programs with technical and professional expatriates and designate training procedures.
• Coordinate established training/coaching programs with ministries/independent government agencies.
• Conduct orientation sessions and develop training/coaching courses for civil servants.
• Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training/coaching programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees.
• Prepare training budget for national level training activities under five common functions program of ACSI.
• Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
• Any other related tasks assigned by the ACSI Director General.
Qualifications for Position:
• This position requires the equivalent of a college degree in, Business Administration, Human Resource Management or a related field. An advanced degree in Business Administration or HRM is preferred.
• The incumbent must have 3-5 years experience in training management and curriculum development. Work experience with GoA is a plus.
• The incumbent must have knowledge of English, Dari and Pashto languages.
• Knowledge of training management practices and approaches.
• Ability to use spreadsheets, presentation graphics, word processing, and database computer software.
