The Senior Financial Analyst shall have strong command on reporting methods and techniques, ability to conduct research studies, ability to gather and analyze Financial data and present findings, ability to formulate policies and procedures relevant to program areas based on information of a conceptual nature from varied and complex sources, ability to plan, coordinate, and expedite project works and the ability to write down the memos on different technical aspects (economic/financial area) of the TAPI Gas Pipeline Project.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting TAPI National Director and Afghanistan’s team of TAPI, at minimum level performs the following duties:
Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
Forecast quarterly and annual profits
Prepare cost projections
Analyze and report on current financial status
Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities
Coordinate with the TAPI Coordination Office and TAPI Coordinator and the executive team on long-term financial planning
Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
Participate in budgeting (for departments and projects)
Review accounting transactions for data accuracy and follow that the MOF
Establish financial policies, Procedures and keep eyes on the market financial assessment
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions
Liaising with relevant organizations to discuss any unclear points of related issue.
Recording and keeping confidential all the documents, information and issues of the TAPI Coordination Office.
At least Bachelor degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields with 7 years of relevant experience and 5 years of relevant experience with Master degree. Preference will be given to the candidates with Master degree and extra additional years of experience.
High command in written and spoken Dari/Pashto and English languages.Competency with MS-Office packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
