ICT Company looking for professionalâ€™s hard working Cable Technicians .Must have verifiable experience in structured cabling. Cable Tray, Punch Downs, Cat 5, Coaxial Cable, Copper Splicing, Structured Cabling, UTP Termination, Cat 6 Termination, Terminating straight and Cross Cables Technician, show Qualification for Fiber Optic and Copper Cable Splicing. Process good experience in the trouble shooting, testing, operation and maintenance of fiber optic Cables, Outside Side Plant Copper Cables and Premises Distribution Systems.â€
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Prepare, assemble, install and test fiber optics transmission systems at a given area or project.
â€¢ Setting up cables between computers, phones and faxes, as well as local area networks to serve small areas linked computers.
â€¢ Physically install Category 3, Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and
â€¢ Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.
â€¢ Installation of outlets, pulling cable, pathways, Cable trays and pre-termination including Organizing, forming, dressing and labeling cables to industry standards.
â€¢ Terminate, assemble and install 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectors, light crimp connectors and optical fiber ST and/or SC ceramic connectors
â€¢ Accurately test copper and fiber (multimode and single mode) cables to required
â€¢ Certification parameters utilizing appropriate test equipment as required.
â€¢ Diagnose and correct copper and optical fiber problems.
â€¢ Removal and demolition of abandoned cables.
â€¢ Maintain and reference industry standards including ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code
â€¢ Perform site surveys, read and use blueprints and floor plan and conduct visual site inspections
â€¢ Determine closet and equipment layouts and install closet hardware including
â€¢ Backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures
â€¢ Install entrance facility grounding infrastructure and perform grounding tests
