About NATO Afghanistan - Resolute Support :
Resolute Support is a NATO-led, non-combat mission. It was launched on January 1, 2015, following the conclusion of the previous NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission, and the assumption of full security responsibility by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). Its purpose is to help the Afghan security forces and institutions develop the capacity to defend Afghanistan and protect its citizens in a sustainable manner. The mission performs supporting functions in several areas. These include: operational planning; budgetary development; force generation process; management and development of personnel; logistical sustainment; and civilian oversight (in order to ensure the Afghan security forces and institutions act in accordance with the rule of law and good governance).
The incumbent is responsible for providing construction, care, and maintenance of wood works for NATO facilities on the compound which supports the mission of HQ RS.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs specialty work.
Performs routine carpentry activities.
The employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organization at the same grade without there being any change to the contract.
The work is normally performed in a typical Workshop environment. Slightly Undesirable Conditions apply.
Demonstrated skill proficiency, coordinate and implement work.
3-5 years’ of practical experience in Structural/General Carpentry in a large Organization.
High school graduate.
None or little professional contacts other than normal day-to-day relations at own level and with
immediate associates & supervisor.
