About DACAAR

Job Summary

Supervise Groundwater Monitoring wells regularly, manage GWM technicians, collect hard/soft data from the GWM wells properly and prepare the monthly reports accurately.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Supervise daily activity of GWM in the region.

Supervise the GMWs wells and collect the Ground Water Monitoring data.

Keep the field measurement equipment and tools in the operational situation.

Support GMWs teams regarding proper data measurement and documentation

Data collection from Diver in installed and other wells manually in the targeted areas

Send monthly report to main office on time.

Keep the hard files of the field data in the field level.

Contribute in the provision of monthly, quarterly and yearly progress report

Technically support to WASH project regarding to the water well drilling and filter and pipe installation when requested.

Able to perform water well pumping test and ensure the accuracy of field data measurement, recording and documentation.

Support database technically and data information system regarding field data collection.

Participate in any meeting, Workshop and conference where is it needed

Any other relevant task given by the supervisor

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor at Geology, Hydraulic engineering and Civil Engineering.
Experience: At least three years of experience in WASH related project.
Languages: Dari/ Pashto and English.

Duty station: North – Regnional Office/ Mazar-e-Sharif, South –Regional Office/ Kandahar, West –Regional office/ Herat and East –Regional Office / Nangarhar Provinces with travelling to other provinces and districts.
Required number: Four (4) (one for Mazar -e- Sharif, one for Kandahar, one for Herat and one for Nangarhar).
Gender: Male / Female
Contract: Project Based till end of December 2017 (Extendable)
Salary: PB-B1, USD (693) including food allowance & Government Tax.
Other qualifications’ an advantage:

Good communication, both in writing and speaking in Dari, Pashto and English skills.

Ability to plan, organize and work under pressure.
