Selina Food Production is a newly established company in Afghanistan, our investment on salt extraction & processing and tomato paste production plant is under progress in Marzari Sharif which will be finished in next 3 months and our initial two products (Refined Salt and Tomato paste) will be out to Afghanistan’s market.
Selina is a daughter company to BD Group of companies, we have successfully invested in mining, food production, construction, Agriculture and General trading sectors in Afghanistan and our portfolio is growing year by year. Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. In addition, they play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.
Job Brief:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy and in order to maximize efficiency and productivity and keep track of logistics and update the company’s inventory.
Create the company’s supply chain strategy
Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams
Determine key supply chain KPIs
Suggest solutions for process improvements
Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
Provide constructive feedback
Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
Evaluate and report on KPIs
Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
Maintain supply chain inventory and records
Train and guide employees
Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)
Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field for 3 years
Hands on experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP MM, AP Modules, SAP Plant Maintenance, etc.)
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field
