Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for compilation of individual reports from SD team members in a standard format, including the input of sighting reports and images into an automated data processing database, retrieving/extracting reports of data, regularly reviewing report data to identify trends, patterns, events occurrences, frequency of sightings, and preparing appropriate reports for the review of the Regional Security Officer’s Review.

The incumbent is responsible for compilation of individual reports from SD team members in a standard format, including the input of sighting reports and images into an automated data processing database, retrieving/extracting reports of data, regularly reviewing report data to identify trends, patterns, events occurrences, frequency of sightings, and preparing appropriate reports for the review of the Regional Security Officer’s Review.

Job Requirements

VA 17-031 Full Performance Level:

2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years’ surveillance or related experience with military, police, or security experience in a position that involved observation/surveillance skills and techniques is required.
3. LANGUAGE: English Level 3 (good working knowledge), Dari or Pashto Level 4 (Fluent) is required.
4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have a valid driver’s license. Skilled in the use of surveillance equipment (e.g. audio/video, binoculars, photographic equipment). Level 3 keyboard/typing and basic PC skills are needed. Must be able to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances without requesting guidance. Must have strong organizational skills.
5. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be familiar with procedures for conducting and reporting surveillance and capable of discerning normal traffic patterns, pedestrian behavior, and check choke points of embassy facilities access and travel routes.
