Supporting the projects with surveys, monitoring and evaluation, Tdh is looking for a qualified and experienced male candidate the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be expected to manage and implement monitoring and evaluation systems, indicators and activities. As part of the M and E Officer will be the responsible for ensuring that monitoring and evaluation plans and strategies are integrated with project streams and activities as appropriate.
• Conduct village surveys and follow-up with recommendations for programming
• Collect, analyze and interpret data
• Monitor the impact of project activities on rural households as well as rural communities
• Provide a reliable flow of information during the implementation of projects to enable the project coordinators to keep track on progress and adjust operations
• Provide feed-back / evaluation to the line manager and the project coordinators
• Write weekly plan and monthly reports.
• Summary the staff weekly plan and prepare project draft monthly report to Project Coordinator
• Assist in developing data collection and management plan, including a timeline of M and E activities, instruments for data collection, staff training in data collection and use, and templates for data analysis and reporting.
• Prepare six months report to government of Afghanistan ministry based on their presented reporting form in collaborations with other project staff
• Coordinate the preparation and packaging of M and E information, with all necessary supporting documentation, for review by project auditors to highlight the project's progress against key indicators.
• Assist in developing guidelines for M and E consultancies when necessary and work closely with such consultants.
• Maintance M and E filing system in computer and also in the folders
• Graduation from– university degree a plus
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the field of conducting surveys and monitoring and evaluating projects set up with rural communities
• Familiar with the Project-Cycle-Management (PCM)
• Familiar with various tools and techniques for gathering qualitative and quantitative data for survey, monitoring and evaluation
• Able to analyze, interpret and utilize data
• Highly interested in a wide range of project activities (health, agriculture, income generation, marketing, education, etc.)
• Creative, initiative and self-motivated but as well flexible
• Critical and able to detect potential problems at an early stage
• Able to propose possible solutions and to provide guidance to the planning of future projects and re-designing current projects if necessary
• Open for new ideas and new approaches
• Self learner and highly motivated
• Willing to learn the new outcome mapping approach in monitoring of development projects
• Very good knowledge of English and computer (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, internet)
• Fluent in Dari
• Flexible in terms of working hours
• Ready to work in a remote district with frequent traveling
