Under the supervision of Provincial Manager, the Team Leader is responsible for handling of agriculture activities as directed by his/her supervisors for ARD ADP/SW.
Duties & Responsibilities:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
â€¢ Assist the farmers in land design, planting, and horticulture activities;
â€¢ Coordinate the logistics of the supply and distribution of saplings;
â€¢ Monitor of the development of the newly established Orchards and trellised vineyards;
â€¢ Organize and implement field training and activities;
â€¢ Participate at the training events organized by Specialists and deliver the trainings to the farmers;
â€¢ Produce activities progress reports, as well as work plans for the implementation of planned activities;
â€¢ Establish a training Program to help farmers increase yields;
â€¢ Monitor project progress through daily visits of targeted farms and villages;
â€¢ Conduct surveys, collect information for inclusion in reports and databases;
â€¢ Any other task assigned by your supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS: (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)
EDUCATION: Degree in Agriculture or related fields.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience in an equivalent position with local or international organizations. Work experience in USAID funded project a plus.
SKILLS: To be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team. Must also be able to create a supportive working relationship among all project teams.
