About Hand in Hand Afghanistan:

Hand in Hand Afghanistan Organization (HiHAO) is a registered NGO operating in Afghanistan since 2006. The main objective of Hand in Hand Afghanistan is to facilitate large-scale job creation through ‘mass mobilization’ of Afghans into entrepreneurship. HiHAO has primarily supported the Afghanistan Rural Enterprise Development Programme (AREDP) coordinated by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) and similar programme under the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL). HiHAO has also been engaged in training and support activities for other agencies that directly or indirectly support the main objective of the organization.

Skills Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all project activities relevant to Team Leader at all levels
• Lead the team of Trainers, Mobilizers and Field Assistants assigned to the Leader and supervise their activities
• Plan activities in coordination with supervisor, colleagues and subordinates and carry out tasks as planned including plans to form new groups, support and train existing ones and monitor old groups
• Establish and maintain good relationships with local authorities, community elders and other stakeholders
• Perform assigned duties to achieve project targets and ensure the team members are performing in accordance with approved plans
• Mobilize and organize communities in rural areas (districts) into Savings and Credit Groups and Common Interest Groups
• Organize and conduct trainings to group members
• Train and support groups to enable them to function well
• Assist group members in acquiring financing and creating sustainable micro enterprises
• Help resolve conflicts and other issues, if such arise among groups and group members
• Collect and compile necessary information on group members
• Identify additional training needs including skills trainings for group members and report to office
• Assist in the development of business plans and other relevant documents for the group members

Job Location:



- University graduate in a relevant field
- At least 5 years of field experience
- Very good communication skills (oral and written)
- Good command of Dari language
- Good command of Turkmani language is a plus point
