Project/Proposal Summary:
The Assistance for Afghanistan’s Anti-Corruption Authority Project is a three-year, USAID-funded anticipated program to provide assistance to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in its effort to build a strong, effective institution to lead, monitor and report on efforts to combat corruption in Afghanistan. This project will primarily work with the Afghanistan High Office of Oversight (HOO).
Position Summary:
Support government ministries in developing their own anticorruption action plans and then provide technical assistance to implement them and monitor progress.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Establish guidelines and standards for anticorruption plans and provide training on how to develop them;
• Work with high priority Ministries and agencies to develop anticorruption action plans;
• Provide guidance on business process reengineering of agency procedures to increase efficiency and improve transparency and accountability;
• Develop monitoring and evaluation plans to assess progress and performance on action plans.
Job Requirement:
• Experience providing support to government agencies to develop anti-corruption action plans, establishing guidelines and standards for such plans;
• Experience in business process reengineering;
• Experience collecting data on government performance in relation to plan objectives and evaluating performance over time;
• USAID-funded project experience preferred;
• Prior experience in Afghanistan, or similar environment, strongly preferred.
