About Mission East:
Background: Mission East is a Danish-based international aid organization founded in 1992 and working in Eastern Europe and Asia. Mission East has been working in Afghanistan since November 2001. Its activities are based in northern Afghanistan and include water and sanitation, health education, construction of roads, schools, and clinics and agricultural development. Technical supervisor is a educated, experienced and trained person to support different construction activities implemented under Public Health Department of Mission East, Afghanistan. Mostly, technical supervisor will supervise the construction of Water Supply schemes, latrines, Materials in the project site.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1-Support communities on digging foundation of structures of Water supply schemes, latrine, wells platform and prepare materials for masonry work.
2-Supervise cutting and bending or rebar in position as per drawing given and place form work for concreting.
3-Check construction material stone, sand and aggregates as per engineering standard.
4-Supervise erecting stone or brick masonry walls as per drawing following engineering norms and standard.
5-Prepare required mix of concrete and do concreting works in specified mix.
6-Supervise the Skilled and Unskilled labours working on the project site.
7-Make sure that structure is properly functioning and aesthetically good quality.
8-Supervise the latrine construction that is going on the area as planned.
9-He should have experience of flied water supply and sanitation works
10-Keep record of skilled and unskilled labours hired for construction work.
11-Perform any other duties as directed by the site engineer.
12- Together with the health teams participate in the distribution of the health education materials as directed by the Heath Manager.
1-Minimum high school diploma; university degree preferred.
2- Previous experience with NGOâ€™s in technical supervisor.
3-The Ability to work in systematic and organized manner.
4- Good written and spoken English ,Dari
5- Good knowledge and skill of computer in MS Office (an advantage).
6-Ability to work and stay in remote villages.
7-Ability to work proactively, a self starter.
