Job Summary

The Radio Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining all aspects of equipment required in a radio station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – including the following. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions require.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Trouble shooting and solving a wide verity of Technical Problems
• Soundproofing, Soldering, Solving Computer Problems (Installation, Maintenance, Drivers Update, Installation of Software and Updating, and Networking).
• Installing and configuring DVB Receivers to operate on the Z and S network.
• Installing and training of equipment when building a new station or upgrading an existing station.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining microwave IP radio Links.

Job Requirements

Graduate 12 grade preferred or equivalent experience.
• Good Interpersonal and excellent organizational skills.
• Good oral and written communication skill.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Ability to use own initiative, common sense and act quickly on issues.
• Must know good electronics and be able to read schematics.
• Must have good computer skills including windows operation systems and networking.
• Must have knowledge of radio and TV design and operation.
•Ability to travel within Logar and Wardak Province (all the remote areas)
•Ability to work as part of a team
•Computer (word, excel, internet, power-Radio software’s)
