Job Summary:


Professional and practical knowledge of Good Livestock/ Poultry Management Practices (GLMPs/ GPMPs), principles and techniques sufficient to assist in the recommendations of planning and implementing livestock and poultry activities especially Farmers Field Schools.

Practical knowledge of proper animal housing, feeds and feeding specifically preparation of urea molasses mineral block, silage and enrichment of wheat straw, breeds and breeding, diseases management, livestock marketing and general livestock management.

Practical knowledge of poultry farming, feeds and feeding, diseases management and vaccination, poultry marketing and general management.

Practical Knowledge of Farmers Participatory Trainings and field level observational research.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Technical inputs in planning, organising and implementing operational plans of livestock and poultry activities with concerned communities, line agencies and stakeholders.

Facilitate and participate in designing of good livestock and poultry management practices, and extension methodologies and modalities.

Develop sustainable methodologies and techniques for assisting beneficiaries with planning and execution of livestock and poultry management, directed at improving their livelihood.

Develop, monitor and analyze interventions and provide recommendations that can be adopted by the beneficiaries.

Facilitate the process of organizing the distribution of inputs to beneficiaries.

Train beneficiary on hands-on livestock and poultry tools and techniques through FFS methodology.

Ensure quality assurance of activities and inputs.

Compile reports, document/record Information, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic (in soft, hard and audio visual) form.

Record the beneficiaries’ general income and production from livestock on practise, activity, quality and quantity basis before intervention; and collect and develop practise, activity, quality and quantity based success stories of the introduced livestock/animal husbandry management interventions on monthly basis and report it to NRM Specialist through proper channel.

Must have strong communication skills in local language and sense of identifying, recording and promotion of community indigenous innovations.

Any other relevant task given by Supervisor.

Job Requirement:

Duty station: Center RO Khost – Center FO With regular travel to different districts of the provinces.

Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits
