Job Summary:
The Training Specialist is to support, facilitate and monitor the learning and professional development of the staff of developmental finance partners of MISFA.
The Training Specialist will insure that developmental finance partners are providing their staff with the knowledge and tools required for them to engage positively with clients and other staff and to grow professionally.
The Training Specialist will accomplish this by working with partners to develop comprehensive training packages, facilitate the support of outside service/training partners and monitoring of training programs and staff to ascertain the efficacy of the various training programmes.
The Training Specialist is responsible for developing a comprehensive training package in order to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce and to fulfill the needs of the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Identify training and development needs within the sector through conducting regular training needs assessments and regular consultation with the MFI partners.
•Identify and assist MFI implementation of Microfinance course training and development curriculum/modules based on both the organization’s and the individual's needs.
•Monitor MFI training plan and oversee quality of trainings and trainer
•Facilitate and support the delivery of the training covering the relevant topics as determined in the modules, according to the plan to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff and completion of conducted courses documents including the report of any courses in details.
•Coordinate and facilitate the training of microfinance officers and staff in relevant regulatory and legal issues pertaining to microfinance.
•Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers.
•Implement and maintain training evaluation system for partner trainings
•In consultation with the Director and the Microfinance sector, develop seminars and workshops on specific topics, (topics of interest to the sector).
•Liaise between MISFA and AIBF to oversee the sector wide trainings
•Maintain effective communication skills with the trainees, management, the microfinance sector and other financial institutions.
•Carry out other related tasks, as required/assigned.
Job Requirement:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
•Additional training or techniques in professional development.
•Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto.
•Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, and listening.
•Excellent computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
•Three years experience of working as trainer or master trainer or working on the development and implementation/delivering of training programs.
•Knowledge of business development training is desirable.
•Knowledge of Microfinance trainings is desirable.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to work independently.
•Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to follow procedures, complete tasks, meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a cooperative, team oriented environment.
•Willingness and ability to travel in provinces of Afghanistan.
