Job Summary:

The Translator will be responsible to translate, edit, proofread and design all I-PACS and Counterpart related documents from English into Dari and vice versa. The translator will report to Communications and Outreach Coordinator or his designate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Translate and design all I-PACS and Counterpart related documents from English into Dari and vice versa
• Respond the Dari-English translation and vice versa needs of all departments
• Edit and proofread the translated documents
• Provide the word-processing support in Dari and English translation for I-PACS
• To keep track of hard and soft copies of English and Dari versions of all documents
• Work as an interpreter of Dari-English when necessary
• Transcribe and translate scripts from audio and video programs of I-PACS
• Translate and design brochures, flyers, one-pagers, business cards and other public relations materials for I-PACS
• Take the lead in designing and layout of the public relations documents in English and Dari
• Any other relevant task assigned by the Supervisor

Job Requirement:

Computer Word-processing, Ms Publisher, CorelDraw, Photoshop and any other designing skills are necessary
• Strong communications skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet the tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and social skills
• Editing and Writing Skills primary in Dari language
