The Translator will provide all oral and written translation needs for ASI project staff in either English, Pashto or Dari, as needed, in accordance with DAI policy and procedures
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Translator will perform the following functions but not limited to:
â€¢ Provide oral and written translation assistance
â€¢ Work with the Office Manager to coordinate and manage translation requests of the office staff to ensure that all requests are completed in a timely manner
â€¢ Other tasks as assigned by the Office Manager
â€¢ University degree in relevant field preferable. Secondary school degree with extensive relevant experience can be substituted for university degree.
â€¢ Minimum of 5 years experience in an equivalent position. Experience working in a similar position for an NGO or an international organization is preferred. USAID funded project experience is a clear plus. Willingness and ability to travel to high-risk areas, as needed. Must also have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment. In addition, must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work irregular hours.

BASE OF OPERATIONS:
â€¢ Reports directly to Field Director.
