Job Summary

Under the overall guidance of the International Project Coordinator and the immediate supervision of the International Trainer, the Translator/Interpreter will undertake the following substantive duties and responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities



1. Assist the International Consultant by translating documents such as Counter Narcotics Law Enforcement Training Outline, weekly reports, official correspondences, papers, manuals, invitations and workshop materials etc. in a concise manner from English into local languages (Dari and Pashto) and vice versa, as required;
2. Act as interpreter during training sessions at CNTA. The incumbent should be capable of simultaneously translating training concepts to the students from English to Dari, Pashto and vice versa.
3. Assist as a translator in official meetings, seminars and other relevant forums;
4. Accompany the international consultants on visits to Government officials and international counterparts in Kabul.
5. Other duties as assigned by management.
