Under the direct supervision of, and reporting to the Admin Assistant/ Associate and general direction of the Administration Manager, the Transport Dispatcher will conduct transport activities; such as allocation, organizing, arranging, maintenances and services and reporting of MBAW project vehicles .Establishing of fresh and friendly environment and support the project according to UNDP rules and regulation.
Summary of Key Functions:
• Dispatch and assign drivers for the various program and units of MBAW project time by time;
• Provide effective Transportation service to MBAW Staff and coordinate the daily vehicle booking for different official purposes;
• Maintain and establish of friendly transportation enjoinment acceptable for project staff;
• Supervise the MBAW drivers and assist the drivers in refueling and vehicles Lubrication on regular basis;
• Regular contact with UNDP CO security section and keep in mind the various security situations directed or received through radio transaction in dispatching and allocation of project vehicles;
• Make sure the preventive maintenance of vehicles are regularly implemented by related drivers;
• Plan the periodic and regular required vehicles service of the project vehicles;
• Prepare the vehicle expenses and fuel consumption report on Monthly basis;
• Preparation and implementation of Transport and maintenance work plan;
• Work under pressure or at non-official time as and when requested;
• Use radio communication and carry out tasks as directed by the supervisor and shall remain vigilant and professional all the time particularly during emergency situations;
• Provide necessary administrative support to the MBAW Project Office when required.
• Provide general administrative support such as delivery of mail, pouch, documents and other items when needed;
• Perform all other related duties.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to the Administrative Assistant/Associate and Administration Manager.
Education and Experience:
• High School Graduate, Diploma in Business Administration and management or Bachelor Degree is an asset.
• 3-5 years of administrative and transport/dispatching experience particularly with the Government agencies, Donors, International NGOs and United Nations;
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) are essential and driving skill is necessary.
• Good communication skill and organizational behavior.
Language Requirements:
• Fair and acceptable written and spoken English and proficiency in Dari/Pashto.
