About UNOPS

Job Summary

UNOPS AGOC regularly requires personnel in the support and specialist categories to perform assignments related to administration, project and programme management. For the Roster, the Office of Human Resources is establishing a pool of suitable candidates with substantial experience to be called upon when a position becomes available.

Duties & Responsibilities

Roster applicants must possess relevant qualifications and experience in the following areas:

support functions (LICA-1 to LICA-4)

For the support functions, secondary diploma is generally required along with certain years of relevant experience. Clerks, Assistants, Associates and other support functions are sought in the following areas:

• Human Resources (Support-01)
• Finance (Support-02)
• Procurement/contracts (Support-03)
• Information and Communications Technology (Support-04)
• Logistics (Support-05)
(Cleaners, Mechanics, Logistic clerks, assistants and associates)
• Transport (Support-06)
(Drivers/Senior Drivers)
• Security and safety (Support-07)
(Watchmen/guards, receptionists, radio operators, security assistants/associates, others)
Specialist Functions (LICA-5 to LICA-8)

Please note for specialist functions, Bachelor’s Degree (and preferably Master’s Degree in relevant field) is required. Specialists are sought in the following areas:

Job Requirements

For Support Functions:

• LICA-1 (e.g. Cleaners, Messengers, Guards, Drivers, and more): No specific educational degree required; secondary diploma and/or relevant certificates desirable. 1-2 years’ experience relevant required.
• LICA-2 (e.g. Clerks, Secretaries, Receptionists, Radio Operators, Mechanics and more): Secondary diploma required. 2-3 years’ relevant experience required.
• LICA-3 (e.g. Assistants, Senior Technicians and more): Secondary diploma required/Bachelor’s Degree an asset. 3-5 years’ relevant experience required.
• LICA-4: Secondary diploma required/Bachelor’s Degree an asset. 5-7 years’ relevant experience required
• Fluent in both oral and written English

For Specialist Functions

• LICA-5: Relevant Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree an asset. Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
• LICA-6: Relevant Master’s Degree required with minimum 2 years relevant work experience. Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu.
• LICA-7: Relevant Master’s Degree required with minimum 5 years relevant work experience. Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu.
• LICA-8: Relevant Master’s Degree required with minimum 7 years relevant work experience. Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu.
• Relevant professional qualifications and certificates related to the area of expertise (e.g.: PMP, Prince2, ACCA, CPE, CPA, PHR, among others) will be considered a distinct advantage
• Excellent knowledge of office applications and productivity suites including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of specific proprietary software and enterprise resource applications relevant to the selected area of expertise (e.g.: MS Project, CAD, Primavera, SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.)
• Fluent in both oral and written English
