Job Summary

The incumbent of the position will be overall responsible of all VAS activities, functions and operations throughout the Company.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.Mobilizes smooth operation of VAS nodes; testing and integration of new NE with the existing network.

2.Maintains and troubleshoots SMSC, MMSC, Packet Core and other VAS Systems

3.Takes care of all VAS related servers including their connectivity with all the other nodes.

4.Takes backups of all VAS systems including Cisco Switches and Juniper Firewalls.

5.Generates, updates, documents and maintains all types VAS related reports.

6.Reports any critical issues and outages to the concerned teams.

7.Creates Gb links between SGSN and BSCs.

8.Conducts GPRS roaming test and troubleshoots any related issues

9.Provides assistance to the VAS team to troubleshoot customers GPRS issues.

10.Performs any other tasks assigned by his/her supervisor.

Job Requirements

1.Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Telecommunication or other relevant fields.

2.At least 2 years of experience in VAS Systems (SMSC, MMSC, IVRs..etc) and Packet. 2 years of experience with the telecom industry will be preferable.

3.Excellent Communication Skills written and spoken Dari or Pashto and English.
