Job Summary

ADALAT/Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. is looking for a Short-Term Technical Assistant (STTA) to assist with and edit the entire proceedings of the Kabul Judicial Conference (KJC) video which were recorded by the Publication Department (PD) of the Supreme Court (SC), including the opening remarks of the Chief Justice and other government officials, the deliberations of the five substantive law committees over three days, and the closing speeches at the Presidential Palace. The Edited Videos will be used to export the proceedings of the Kabul Judicial Conference (KJC) for viewing in provincial capitals by judges who did not attend the KJC.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Short-Term Technical Assistants will work closely with the CLWG to carrying the following activities:


To develop a technical protocol on copying and editing and provide training in accordance with it to the SC personnel.

To edit the Video Tapes in accordance with a plan that will be developed by ADALAT and SC.

To edit the entire proceedings of the Kabul Judicial Conference (KJC) which were recorded by the Publication Department (PD) of the Supreme Court (SC), including the opening remarks of the Chief Justice and other government officials, the deliberations of the five substantive law committees over three days, and the closing speeches at the Presidential Palace.

To edit the video tapes professionally into an accessible format for viewing in the regional judicial conferences.

To copy the edited video tapes on sufficient numbers of DVDs/CDs required by Publications Department of the SC.

To provide and deliver capacity building training on editing video tapes on DVD/CD to Publication Dept. personnel at SC.

Any other jobs related tasks assigned by ADALAT team.

Job Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience in the job related field or media.

Having knowledge on using computers, and the media programs is a requirement, Experience of using MAC computers is a privilege.

Having knowledge of using editing applications like after effect and other required apps.

Excellent written and spoken Dari and Pashto language skills. Knowledge on English language is a privilege.
