Job Summary:


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all goods are stored and packed safely and securely.
• Ensure that stock levels are recorded correctly on bin cards.
• Ensure that stock cards file are maintained and stock movement are updated.
• Check deliveries of goods for quality and quantity, and record details on goods received forms. Make sure the quantity received mach with PO and make note in the remarks column of GRN for discrepancy.
• Issue goods from stock only on receipt of an authorized stock request form.
• Organize the manual loading and unloading of vehicles when necessary.
• Compile regular stock reports and stock reconciliations, and ensure that discrepancies in stock levels are reported to the line manager.
• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are understood and followed by all warehouse staff.
• Be responsible for the security of the warehouse and the stock.
• Be responsible for maintenance of the warehouse building and all equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of Stores and Fixed Asset Inventory
• Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received
• Receives, stores, tags and tracks surplus property; prepares property lists for items to be sold at auction.
• Receives and stores documents and confidential files; maintains record of approved document and confidential file destruction.
• Ships canceled and damaged items back to vendors as appropriate.
• Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property

• Institute, university graduate
• 5 years experience in asset/warehouse management.
• Knowledge of excel and word processing and spreadsheet software and the Internet, ability to analyze technical data, generating different reports; good communication, mathematical skills; knowledge of supply-chain management; and the ability to perform financial analyses.
