In this context, MSF is recruiting Water & Sanitation Specialist for a post.

Duties & Responsibilities

OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
- Provide day to day support to all projects in his field of expertise for all Watsan related matters, in accordance with the mission policies and standards; Performs technical assessment and provides recommendations, advice and support to the project teams in his/her field of expertise
- Assist in the development and follow up of Watsan drawings including architectural, engineering, and work specifications for the entire mission according to MSF standards
- Participate in the development of maintenance strategies and all Watsan related policies; monitor and follow up the implementation in the projects (Hygiene, Vector Control, Waste management etc.)
- Ensure the projects’ support through field visits and gap filling for the respective field technical positions and participate actively in the development and implementation of training activities for the Watsan technicians in the mission

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
- Essential: Technical diploma or technical university degree in Water and Sanitation engineering
- Essential: Fluent in English, Pashtu and Dari (oral and written)
- Essential: minimum two years of working experience in logistics related activities
- Desirable: previous experience with MSF or other NGOs
- Desirable: experience as supervisor
- Essential: Proficient user of AutoCAD or Visio drawing program, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Desirable: Proficient user of ETABS (or similar software)
WORKING HOURS AND SALARY
FULL TIME: 40 hours per week, Saturday to Wednesday
GROSS SALARY: 51,200 AFN (non-negotiable)
