Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) began as an agency that provided licenses to companies wishing to invest in Afghanistan. AISA has now evolved into a pro-active institution on promoting and attracting investment to Afghanistan. AISA, having its main office in Kabul and regional offices in Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-i-sharif, Nangharhar, Khost, Kunduz, Paktia, Faryab and Helmand province, delivers a wide range of services to investors all over the country.
The Web and Graphic Designer/IT Assistant, under the direct supervision of IT Manager will be responsible for a wide range of activities related to the needs of AISA, including Web designing and maintenance, Graphic Designing and IT related works.
The Web and Graphic Designer/IT Assistant is a member of the IT team and shall work under the guidance of the Information Technology Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Web and Graphic Designer/IT Assistant shall conduct the interface designing for all sorts of designing and also participate in banners and charts designing for AISA internal and external use as well as its clients. He/She shall also participate in technical activities; provide support to the IT Manager on IT related issues. The main activities of Web and Graphic Designer/IT Assistant includes but not limited to:
ï‚§ Conceptualize and design Website/Documents layouts, graphics, logos and banners;
ï‚§ Generate graphic images/illustrations, interactive presentations, flash files, sound and video into multimedia programs for use on the Web or CD/DVD;
ï‚§ Think creatively to produce new ideas;
ï‚§ Produce accurate and high quality work;
ï‚§ Will be responsible for the visual brand, design direction, and identity standards;
ï‚§ Develop application layouts and promote graphic standards
ï‚§ Troubleshoot system problems related to Network Printers, Photocopiers, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Operating Systems.
ï‚§ Schedule Data Backus for Servers and Clients.
ï‚§ Ensure that all IT equipments are functional to a satisfactory level and ensures their proper and efficient use by training the concerned staff members adequately.
ï‚§ Develops system, mechanisms and procedures to ensure timely maintenance of the IT and communication equipment; and prepares, updates, maintains an adequate and accurate inventory of the AISA IT equipments.
ï‚§ Assist procurement section in purchase of the IT and communication related equipments. Provide technical advice for the quality and cost of IT equipments to logistic department.
ï‚§ Schedule for updating of antivirus software and ensure it is managing in timely manner.
ï‚§ Any other tasks as directed by IT Manager
Qualification and Experience:
â€¢ University degree, from a recognized University, in Computer Science, or IT is preferred.
â€¢ A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Web and Graphic Design and IT with reputable organizations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
â€¢ Web designing using PHP, Dreamweaver, CSS, Joomla
â€¢ Knowledge of MySQL
â€¢ Being able to use CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and other related Graphic Software for designing works.
â€¢ Good knowledge of Computer Networks.
â€¢ Must have spoken and written knowledge of English as well as local languages (Dari and Pashto).
