Workin as a IT officer for NDI electio program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Design visual basic scripts.
â€¢ Design complex SQL queries
â€¢ Basic management of Apache server
â€¢ Design and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets and large Access databases
â€¢ Work irregular and long hours during peak operational activities
â€¢ Provide technical support to the database
â€¢ Use advanced Excel tools to build data sets.
â€¢ Assist the IT Manager in developing and implementing user and security policies and procedures related to Elections Programme
â€¢ Assist the IT Manager provide IT support to the NDI Kabul office, residence and regional offices, ensuring that the computer (internet, software and network) and communication (Satellite phones, walkie-talkies) system are operating effectively, specifically in regards to the Election Programme.
â€¢ Provide updated information of new technologies and recommendations for the system
â€¢ Travel regularly to the regional offices to support their IT communications, maintenance needs and upgrade their current IT environment.
â€¢ Ad hoc administrative projects as required
â€¢ Provide training packages for NDI programs.
Other duties as directed by the Country Director or his designee.
â€¢ Assist the IT manager in monitor and maintain condition of equipment, including computers, printers, phones, scanner, etc.
â€¢ Assist the IT Manager to Manage NDI`S common network, ensuring that information is backed â€“up on a weekly basis, and helping staff use the system effectively.
â€¢ Carry out under the supervision of the IT Manager procurement and operation of technology-related systems, including internet, radios, phones systems, etc.
â€¢ Any other duties assigned.
â€¢ Demonstrated experience in visual basic scripts.
â€¢ Demonstrated experience in complex SQL queries
â€¢ Demonstrated experience in management of Apache server
â€¢ Professional-level written and spoken English, Dari AND Pashto.
â€¢ Strong attention to detail and high-level of organizational ability.
â€¢ Ability to work within a team and provide the highest possible level of professionalism.
â€¢ Advanced or equivalent degree in an applicable field.
â€¢ Able to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team
